This is special order item and will take a few days to arrive. Note that if your car is an early car in the range and the COMAND has not had firmware update, it may need the firmware updated by Mercedes Benz to install the latest maps. Firmware should be updated as part of routine servicing by Mercedes Benz within the warranty period and thus this should not be a problem. V2016/2017 Highlights: - The USB flash drive is packed with navigation data for 18 countries in Africa and the Middle East, with major and minor roads, towns, villages and plenty of points of interest: Bahrain, Botswana, Egypt, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, La Réunion, Lebanon, Lesotho, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Swaziland and the United Arab Emirates. Eight countries already have 100% coverage: Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates already have 100% coverage. The navigation data on the 2016/2017 version covers over 2.6 million kilometres of road. The 2016/2017 version features 8521 towns and communities. Almost 1,335,000 key points of interest are featured on the USB flash drive, including filling stations, car parks, museums, restaurants and hospitals. There are around 149,209 more POIs here than on the previous version. If required, the navigation system will also show the user the quickest route to 114 Mercedes-Benz service outlets. Some 12,127 restaurants and 2846 nightlife destinations have been added to the new 2016/2017 version. Using the data from the Traffic Message Channel, the navigation system takes into account the latest motorway traffic bulletins and automatically calculates diversions. V2015 Highlights TBA V2014 Highlights The USB stick is packed with navigation data for 17 countries in Africa and the Middle East, with major and minor roads, towns, villages and plenty of points of interest: Bahrain, Botswana, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, La Réunion, Lebanon, Lesotho, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Swaziland and the United Arab Emirates. The navigation data on the 2014 version covers over 1.6 million kilometres of road. The 2014 version features 6282 towns and communities. Almost 871,000 key points of interest are featured on the USB stick, including filling stations, car parks, museums, restaurants and hospitals. 97,971 restaurants and 9556 hotels are included in this 2014 navigation update. If required, the navigation system will also show the user the quickest route to 85 Mercedes-Benz service partners. Map updates include millions of changes, e.g. new roads, crossroads, bypasses, junctions and motorway slip roads and exits. One section of road may feature up to 260 attributes, such as the number of lanes or one-way routing. All of these attributes and the vast number of points of interest have to be updated constantly. |
