Adapter Loom with Steering Wheel Controls for Audio-20 NTG1 in W211, W219, R171, E, CLS & SLK
| This is an adapter loom with CAN interface for putting an aftermarket stereo into a pre 2009 (i.e NTG1) Mercedes E Class, Mercedes CLS, or Mercedes SLK with the Audio-20-CD system
It is not suitable for vehicles with COMAND, Audio-20-Cassette, or Audio-50-APS systems, or for vehicles with NTG2.5 (i.e from Model Year 2009). This enables the steering wheel buttons to work (volume, phone answer) when used with SWC capable stereo from Alpine, Pioneer, Kenwood, Clarion, JVC or Sony. Please note that if your car does not have the phone system already then the steering wheel telephone controls will need enabling with Star Diagnosis diagnostic computer. The CANbus interface will also provide ignition, illumination, handbrake, speed pulse and reverse gear outputs for the new stereo, most often used for Sat-Nav or Car Play / Android Auto units. This is a special order item and can take a few days to come into stock.
