Fitting Kit for Aftermarket Stereo in W203 C class, W209 CLK 2000-2003 & W639 Vito 2003-2005 includes Steering Wheel Control interface.
| This is a fitting kit to install a single DIN or double DIN new stereo into a W203 C class or a W209 CLK or a W639 Vito. This kit is applicable for cars built from start of production until the first facelift in 2003 (or in the case of the Vito, the facelift in 2005)
This is a special order item and can take a few days to come into stock. This enables the steering wheel buttons to work (volume, phone answer) when used with SWC capable stereo from Alpine, Pioneer, Kenwood, Clarion, JVC or Sony. Please note that if your car does not have the phone system already then the steering wheel telephone controls will need enabling with Star Diagnosis diagnostic computer. If your car has COMAND2.0 and not Audio-20, you will have to cut and solder 2 wires to connect to the car's CANbus network. The CANbus interface will also provide ignition, illumination, handbrake, speed pulse and reverse gear outputs for the new stereo, most often used for Sat-Nav or Car Play / Android Auto units. This is a special order item and can take a few days to come into stock. If you tell us your VIN and what stereo you are putting in your car, we will setup the switches/connections on the interface for you to save you some effort. |
