C, GLK, E, E Coupe class (W204, W212, W207)

There are 3 different solutions available for the new C, GLK, E and E Coupe classes, you can only fit one of them and it depends on the head unit you have.

iPod kit. This is the basic iPod kit that works with all head units and provides an iPod connection (normally in the main glovebox). The iPod is controlled from the steering wheel controls and the instrument cluster display. This can be connected to the Mercedes iPhone cradle with a the iPhone->iPod kit lead we list in the shop.

Media Interface - also known as UCI or Universal Communications Interface - this interface provides a connection for an iPod/iPhone, USB memory stick or 3.5mm input. It is currently a factory fit only option although shortly we will have a retrofit kit. It only works with cars with Audio-50-APS or COMAND-APS (i.e factory fit navigation systems) - even if you have this option factory fitted you will still need to purchase a lead set to connect your device (see Media Interface cable set). The socket is in the top of the main glovebox on the side near the centre console. This can also be connected to the Mercedes iPhone cradle with the iPhone->Media Interface lead we list in the shop.

UMI - this is a retrofit navigation system, iPod/iPhone and USB interface for cars with the Audio-20 only - it uses the car's existing display. This can not be connected to the iPhone cradle, and the version we supply only contains European maps. This is soon to be released for the W212/W207 new E class.
